What EMDR Feels Like

In EMDR therapy, you focus on a memory while I guide you through eye movements, tapping, or sounds to help your brain heal.

It is normal to notice strong emotions at times, like sadness, fear, or tension. These feelings usually come in waves and do not last forever. You are not reliving the memory, you are helping your brain process it in a new way.

Many people notice feeling less overwhelmed by the past, less on edge, and less caught up in intense reactions over time.

As things shift, you may feel more calm, steady, and present in your daily life.
